It’s so interesting. Soli got Gryffindor, and Eye got Ravenclaw as their undeniable houses. Meanwhile, I’m a Hatsall - for the last question I had to choose between Gryffindor and Ravenclaw. You were not amused.
You were aroused, that was for sure, however. Straddling Dave’s hips, fluffy ears perked, you raised an eyebrow at the coolkid, who was without a doubt surprised that his flash stepping skills didn’t get him away in time. He was looking up at you in surprise, and you just knew that he was beginning to regret his decision of investigating the surface of your ‘plush rump’, having been tackled to the floor seconds later. Speaking of that. You shift your hips, and he almost breaks away to complain, but you pull away for a breath, drifting down to his neck instead, and his other hand drifts up to one of your ears and god damnit you hate it when he scratches your ears because he knows you love it so, so hard.
Your hips are now sitting on his legs as you nuzzle into his neck (thanks to the scratching of the ears), and one of your hands begin tracing shapes on his chest. The other is drifting down his chest, and then his waist, and then you’re tracing shapes on his erection and shit if he isn’t melting in your fingertips.
“Still want to move to the bed, Harley?” he says, obviously regretting that decision as well. You cease kissing his neck for a brief moment.
“Fuck no,” and you bite down on the skin above his collarbone so hard he makes a squeak.

Dirk stared at the unmoving body of his sister.
This couldn’t be happening. Shit, this shouldn’t be happening. But there she was, resting on the bed of flowers, looking more like she was encased in a peaceful slumber (like all of those fairy tales) than like a dead person. Cold fucking dead, dead as a doornail, never going to wake up.
The first thing that had registered in his mind when he heard the crying out, the chanting of “The Rogue is dead, the void is infinite—” he freaked. He tuned out the real life world, throwing himself into the ‘dream’, and looking out through the window. She wasn’t even bloody, she just looked like she was sleeping.
It wasn’t fair.
Dirk didn’t even bother to try to hide himself as he floated out of the window, quickly joining the procession of funeral go-ers. Those who noticed him, they were surprised. But most didn’t. He floated, quietly, next to Roxy’s bed, because he wasn’t going to cry, but shock was already overtaking him.
Not only was he the last dreamer alive, but his sister was dead.
Sure, she was there in real life. But with the way the Game was going, they were being sabotaged. They all needed their dream selves — it was a requirement of the Game.
He didn’t bother to hide his tears. Striders never cried.
Unless their siblings were dead.
After the Game had started, after both Jane and Jake had reached their God Tier forms, after Dirk had gone through the trials of becoming the Prince of Heart fully and wholly, he felt like perhaps this was redemption for not saving Roxy the first time. Carrying her bloodied, broken corpse to her Quest Bed, and laying her down gently on the stone slab. Waiting and waiting for the transformation.
But it never came, because she was still alive.
“As the Rogue of Voi—hic— Void, I know that there’s a void in your heart, Dirrrrk,” she had said once. He had thought that she was just playing around, just another drunken slur.
But as her last breath left her body, and he found himself sobbing on her broken chest again (there it was again, those rare tears that Striders never shed), knowing that this was the wrong Quest Bed and knowing that it was too late and knowing that she was gone, he felt broken himself.
He couldn’t be her prince in shining armor.
The void in his heart grew until nothing was left, but a grey hollow shell that glowed with despair.
