So I mentioned that I wanted to make a video for katsplanet’s Homestuck trailer audio post earlier. I originally contacted her to ask if I could make a comic for it because I just wasn’t good with videos. But then she posted that post about “what if someone actually made a video for it” and I was like, well heck I would so like that. 

Then I thought, if we’re making one, let’s make it good - and I know I can’t make it by myself.

Right now I have Packie with me as an interested animator, and I am slowly working on the draft of how I see the video and its transitions. I know my own weaknesses, so I’m hoping to find other interested people for this mini project. I’m not asking for a huge army, I just want a few volunteer specialists. If I were to be specific about it:

An animator. Someone who could help Packie with the job. I’m mostly doing the art bases myself so hopefully, that makes it easier.

An artist. If I was the only one drawing, it would be hella slow. However, I’m still thinking of how this will work because the video would flow much better with a consistent style. Or perhaps, if organized, it would flow much better. I also need someone who is good at making backgrounds. Prospit, Derse,…you can go wild with this. Of course I’ll try to not make the character look crappy in contrast. I would probably be happy with two or three artists helping and we can work it out together.

Someone who is good with video transitioning. You make good AMVs and those stuff? It would be great if you could help us! The job won’t be too hard. Basically, your work is just to tie everything together into one beautiful video using fancy transitioning/effects and good timing. I could do it myself if I could, but I just don’t have the skills for it.

So yeah, that’s basically it. I’m no good at leadership or whatever the hell it is needed in starting a fan project. I could organize and split the jobs since I’m mostly the one making the story board. However, you could also comment about it. Even if you’re not in the team, since I will post previews of it too, everyone could give comments about it.

I just want to see this audio post in video format. A proper trailer. Don’t you guys want to see it too? Come on guys.
