jake loves to watch movies but he can never sit still to watch one so he keeps doing little things like tapping his foot or shaking his leg or shifting positions and meanwhile dirk sort of watches in mild amusement
of course when dirk and jake decide that cuddling is the way to go, jake still can’t stay put and he keeps moving his hands and plays with dirks hair or his shirt or his fingers and its when jake does that he notices (and remembers) tiny details about dirk
just really small ones that dont quite matter but jake keeps them in mind and when the he does happen to share this profound knowledge of his, dirk is always somewhat taken aback because he usually feels like jake is kind of rough around the edges and will always miss the small details
